ABOUT US
ABOUT OUR ACADEMY
The academy was founded in 2009 with the vision of providing quality Martial Arts instruction to the community.
Garth Perkins is a lifelong practitioner, with a competitive background that has given him the opportunity to travel internationally. His dedication as a student is only matched by his love for teaching. Since the age of 12 years old, he knew he wanted to teach Martial Arts as a profession.
With over 30 years of martial arts experience, and over 25 years of teaching experience, Garth continues to share his passion. He has taught thousands of students, helping them reach their goals, overcome adversity, and become the very best versions of themselves.
THE MEANING OF THE SYMBOL
The logo was modeled after traditional Japanese family crests, or kamon.
The three small interconnected circles represent the trinity of consciousness: mind, body, spirit. The triangle, which is implied, emphasizes a strong foundation. The balance of positive and negative space reminds us to be open-minded.
The three spirals, inspired by the “mitsu tomoe”, represent constant change, progression, and personal growth. It reminds us to be flexible and ready to adapt. The center circle represents a goal or ideal that we are striving towards.
